Handwoven in a village outside M’rirt, Morocco, this rug reflects the rich weaving traditions of the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Soukina leads a group of 25 artisans from a village just outside Beni M’rirt. Founded in the early 2000s, the collective is known for medium to high hand-knot rugs, as well as M’rirt Zanafi styles, regional techniques celebrated for their rich texture and depth.

Traditional rugs from this region use a thick knotting technique, giving each piece an especially plush feel underfoot.

This rug is woven from 100% live wool and dyed with indigo stone to create its vibrant blue hues.
