This rug was handwoven by the artisans of Anzal, a women-only association located in a village about 30 kilometers north of the popular weaving town of Tazenakht.

Founded in 2007, the Anzal collective continues to preserve the region’s weaving traditions through generations of women passing the craft down to one another.

Made from 100% live wool, this piece was carded, spun, and dyed entirely by hand by the artisans of the association.
